Grant LoParo (b. 1990) is a visual artist and musician based in Los Angeles. Spanning music projects, painting, sculpture, and live performance, LoParo’s practice is informed by an iterative and esoteric approach to world-building, exploring archetypal forms with an intentionally mercurial quality. LoParo received his BFA in painting from the Rhode Island School of Design. He has shown his work in several group exhibitions at Flower Head in El Sereno, CA, and performed the commissioned piece Movie: House, Tree, Sun, Star at Coaxial Arts in Los Angeles, CA, as part of Rachel Elizabeth Jones’s residency in 2023. His music practice comprises numerous self-releases under multiple aliases, including Heaven’s Gate Club, Gerry Savaatch & Dar Maclum, and Ram Deb/Deb Ra.
